Penn St. & Ole Miss battle it out for no. 5 spot by playing inferior opponents

(5)Penn St. 31 - Temple 6: Penn St. takes down in state rival/cupcake Temple. The Nittany Lion run defense continues to look solid (as usual) while holding the Owls to just 46 yards rushing. Evan Royster led the way for Penn St. with 134 yards and a TD. Daryll Clark seemed a bit off throwing for just 167 yards, 2 TDs, and a pick. But none of that mattered as the defense was stingy and the running game was strong. And playing Temple never hurts. Upset alert though: Iowa (who was their lone loss last season) comes calling this weekend.

(5)Ole Miss 52 - SE Louisiana 6: Ole Miss could have slept their way through this one. Jevan Snead and Brandon Bolden did the heavy lifting in this one as they gear up for their first real test at South Carolina Thursday night. The game Thursday should be a good measuring stick of where they are as a squad.
